November 8, 2023 at 3:09 pmStayed again in May 22. Roof is starting to rust out – a few leaks during rain. West side gutter/channel needs digging/clearing out – floor floods in rain. Table sturdy/in good nick. Enough space nearby for ?6 small tents. Tracks to the Nth and the Sth are getting rough.

October 29, 2023 at 7:28 pmCamped here overnight in July. There are a couple of decent flat spots to put a tent. The space under the shelter isn’t suitable for a tent though as it’s very uneven. Beautiful walk from the te aroha summit. Would be a bit sketchy during or after very heavy rain as there are some creek crossings.
