Remote Work (Interim Policy)

Mapto Remote Work Policy

1. Purpose:
The purpose of this Remote Work Policy is to outline the guidelines and expectations for employees who are authorized to work remotely.

2. Eligibility:
Employees may be eligible for remote work arrangements based on their job role, performance, and departmental requirements. Approval for remote work will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the employee’s manager and HR department.

3. Remote Work Agreement:
Employees approved for remote work must sign a Remote Work Agreement that outlines their responsibilities, work hours, communication expectations, and any other relevant terms.

4. Work Hours:
Remote employees are expected to adhere to their regular work schedule as defined in their employment contract or as communicated by their manager. Flexibility may be allowed based on individual circumstances and job requirements.

5. Workspace and Equipment:
Remote employees are responsible for setting up a dedicated workspace at their location that is conducive to productivity and free from distractions. They must also ensure they have access to necessary equipment and reliable internet connectivity to perform their duties effectively.

6. Communication:
Remote employees are required to maintain regular communication with their manager and team members through designated communication channels (e.g., email, messaging apps, video conferencing). They must be responsive during working hours and notify their manager of any unavailability or schedule changes.

7. Data Security:
Remote employees must adhere to all company policies and procedures related to data security and confidentiality. They are responsible for safeguarding company information and data by following security protocols and using secure network connections and devices.

8. Performance and Accountability:
Remote employees are expected to meet the same performance standards and productivity goals as their in-office counterparts. Managers will monitor performance and provide feedback as needed to ensure accountability and success in remote work arrangements.

9. Health and Well-being:
Mapto values the health and well-being of all employees, including those working remotely. Remote employees are encouraged to maintain a healthy work-life balance, take regular breaks, and prioritize their physical and mental well-being.

10. Termination of Remote Work Arrangement:
Mapto reserves the right to revoke remote work privileges at any time based on business needs, performance issues, or policy violations. Employees may be required to return to the office as determined by management.

11. Policy Review and Updates:
This Remote Work Policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with company objectives and best practices. Updates may be made as necessary, and employees will be notified of any changes in policy.

12. Compliance:
All remote employees are required to comply with this Remote Work Policy and other relevant company policies and procedures. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

13. Data Privacy and Confidentiality:
Remote employees acknowledge that they are required to adhere to data privacy regulations and protect customer information and data in accordance with company policies. Customer information must not be shared with third parties, and company secrets must not be disclosed.

14. Confidentiality Agreement:
Remote employees must sign a Confidentiality Agreement affirming their commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of company information, including but not limited to trade secrets, proprietary information, and customer data. Any breach of confidentiality may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

15. Review Period: This policy is implemented on an interim basis and will be subject to review within one year of its approval date. The policy owner and/or approver reserve the right to initiate a review at their discretion, which may result in modifications or updates to the policy. Nothing in this policy precludes a shorter review period if deemed necessary.

I have read and understand the data privacy and confidentiality requirements outlined in the Remote Work Policy of Mapto. I agree to comply with these requirements and acknowledge that any violation may result in disciplinary action.
